Women in Tech Panel – Conversations on Leadership
About This Program
As a woman in an industry dominated by men, it’s easy to feel alone. This panel highlighted the stories and experiences of some of our female superstars here at Wizeline. The aim is to provide an opportunity for women in tech to relate to one another, be inspired, and expand their network.
This event was hosted as a panel with a moderator and a number of panelists. Panelists answered some frequently asked questions and share their stories, their successes, and the challenges they’ve had to overcome.
The second half of the event took the form of an open discussion forum where attendees were encouraged to share their own experiences and ask questions.

Miriam Godinez
Head of Engineering
Miriam has over 17 years of experience in Software Development and Testing. She is passionate about forming high-performance teams of diverse disciplines and distributed across the globe. She is married to her best friend and is a proud mom of a boy; her favorite thing is to spend time with her hubby and son. She is addicted to hobbies; the goal is to keep learning new stuff all the time! She loves to travel and read. She enjoys public speaking and uses it as a mechanism to inspire others.
Mariel Nilo
Senior Software Engineer Manager
Mariel is a Senior Software Engineer Manager and also a Neurodivergent/Neuroatypical with ADHD. She processes problems differently, usually thinking outside the box. She usually analyzes various issues at once and thinks of one solution to solve them all because she can't help it, but that's her superpower.
Mariel is empathic to situations and, with her colleagues, is a guardian of respecting other people's ways to process emotions and information.
She has been adjusting and adapting to her differences all her life, so she is highly adaptable and perseverant!
Hayde Martinez
Senior Data Engineer
Hayde Martinez is a computer system engineer with a degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Kanazawa Institute of Technology in Japan. She has more than ten years of experience in diverse tech fields such as Data Science, Data Engineering, Development, QA, Operations Support, and Infrastructure.
She is a Senior Data Engineer at Wizeline and the founder of "De Cero a Ciencia de Datos." Hayde loves sharing knowledge and has more than five years of experience facilitating tech talks and workshops.
Paulina Guevara
Software Evolution Engineer
Paulina is a software engineer with a diverse background; she loves challenges and learning along. Her experience comes from QA, Fullstack, and DevOps.
She is currently a backend developer combined with people-oriented side projects. She is part of the Mexican Tech Community named PHP Mexico and an active speaker of diverse LATAM communities as WWcode, PHP Mexico, and Technolatinas.
